HEC (as the Hedgeley Education Centre is sometimes known) provides computer courses for adults. We’re probably one of the smallest Computer Education Centres in the country. We limit the class sizes to six adults (who can be any size) and use modern computer systems. HEC is part of the old Hedgeley Homestead, which was built in the 1870’s. We’ve preserved much of the charm of that era while integrating modern computer systems, support networks, etc. The grand old Hedgeley park and gardens provide a pleasant extension to the learning experience. If you need directions, the Homestead is well marked on the Napier Taupo Road. If you’re travelling from Napier, it’s just past the Eskdale church - on the same side of the main road as the church. Look for the big “ Hedgeley” sign hanging at the main gate. Parking is available on the grounds. The small class sizes mean more tutor/student time. This gives the student an opportunity to achieve a great deal more than in the traditional larger class format. Course times are reasonably flexible. We provide day courses, half-day courses, and weekend courses. Hours for the day courses are from 9am to 3pm. The Day Courses are from 9am to 3pm. Special corporate pricing and hours are also available. Day courses are increasingly popular in that they allow the student to practice the knowledge gained that day and later return for an update as needed. Course dates are set as they are needed. We’re too small to have pre-determined dates for courses. So, if you’re thinking of a course, call us with your preferred dates and we’ll do our best to meet your requirements. We require a minimum of four to make up a course, and the maximum number is six. Refreshments and lunches for the day courses can be prepared to meet special diets or preferences. Enrolment is easy - just phone us, and we’ll discuss course dates etc. We will send you an enrolment form (if you haven’t got one) and confirm the course. Contact details are to the left. Feel free to use the phone, fax, or email. Email is a bit harder, but much more fun! Free support calls are really free. Our students and customers have free phone/email support for the course or service. How free is "free"? Well, if we can resolve follow-up issues from the course or service by phone (or email) then that's it - free. |
